When Children’s Questions Reach the Top!
The children of St Lawrence Primary School have once again shown the power of young voices with their incredible Agents of Change project: “Write a List of Thought-Provoking Questions About a Cause You Are Passionate About.”
The journey began with the children exploring what it really means for a question to be thought-provoking. They learned how to dig deeper, challenge assumptions, and craft questions that make people stop, think, and reflect. Once confident, they chose causes close to their hearts — from littering, racism, war, deforestation, homelessness, to climate change — and began creating their lists of powerful questions.
But they didn’t stop there. The children researched exactly who they should send their questions to, identifying the right people in government, corporations, and positions of influence. Then, with determination and courage, they sent their letters out into the world.
And the response? Simply incredible. Letters poured in from the highest levels, including The King, the Prime Minister, Sir David Attenborough, and many government officials, with some even providing detailed answers to the children’s questions.
This amazing outcome shows that children’s voices matter — that passion, curiosity, and thoughtful questions can reach those with the power to make change. The St Lawrence pupils have proven once again that with confidence, research, and courage, young people can inspire real action.
🌟 Well done to all our young Agents of Change — you are shaping the world, one question at a time!
