FAQs

  • The initiative is open to all primary schools who care deeply about people making a difference in their lives.  It is for schools who see education as an act of citizenship, teaching children to be capable contributors to their communities and wider world.  No special expertise is needed, just a shared commitment to doing meaningful things, together.

  • No! You can choose the order that inspires you and your school community.  Follow your curiosity, spark engagement, and make each project rewarding and importantly impactful.  There is no ‘one right way’ to do it.  How you organise Agents of Change is flexible, and you can make it your own.

  • Each child receives an A3 poster and a passport-style booklet detailing 40 Agents of Change Challenges. Alongside this, schools receive seven certificates celebrating our core values: Investigate, Express Yourself, Look Beyond, Brighten Today, Be Yourself, Shout Out Loud, and Make Some Waves, perfect for recognising ongoing achievements. These resources are designed to last from Reception to Year 6 and so one initial investment keeps on giving.

Optional extras include an Agent of Change stamp for marking passports and seven stunning metal pin badges; highly treasured keepsakes that can be awarded alongside the certificates.

Schools also have access to a growing range of practical, ready-to-use resources, including lesson ideas, project guides, templates, and display materials, all designed to inspire creativity, collaboration, and a sense of purpose.

  • How you celebrate achievements is up to your school, but we provide plenty of ideas to make them really shine, from sharing projects in class, to whole-school discussions, assemblies, and even social media posts. With a growing network of Agents of Change schools, there are also many opportunities to share successes beyond your own community.

Most importantly, we focus on children feeling proud of their own efforts. Personal celebration and reflection help drive them forward, building confidence, motivation, and a sense of ownership. Public recognition is wonderful, but intrinsic motivation, the pride in what they’ve achieved, is what truly inspires lasting growth.

  • Individual, class, or whole-school projects can be totally flexible and take as long or as short as you like. Most importantly, challenges are designed to help go deeper, with adults guiding children to make a real impact and see the difference they can create.  Real change takes time.

  • Absolutely! Projects can be completed individually, in small groups, in families, as a whole class, school or even community. The choice is yours!  What matters most is that children are engaged, collaborating where it works, and seeing the impact of their efforts.

  • Yes, please see our Products page for details. The upfront investment is small, but it lasts from Reception to Year 6, giving children the chance to grow confidence, creativity, and a sense of purpose over their entire primary journey. One commitment today can spark a lifetime of curiosity, courage, and change.  The skills, passion, and mindset children gain today can shape their choices, fuel their ambitions, and empower them to make a real difference long into the future.

  • Agents of Change complements the school curriculum perfectly. Projects can enrich all subjects, while also developing vital skills like creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and citizenship. It brings learning to life, giving children meaningful ways to apply knowledge, explore their passions, and make a real-world impact.  Use Agents of Change to personalise your curriculum and give it impact and purpose.

  • Pupils can make a real, visible difference, in their classroom, school, and wider community. Projects encourage children to take initiative, solve problems, and bring ideas to life, helping others, improving their environment, or raising awareness about important issues. Beyond tangible results, the biggest impact is on themselves: growing confidence, resilience, and a sense of purpose that inspires them to keep making change wherever they go.

  • Agents of Change empowers children to believe in themselves and their ability to make a difference. By taking on purposeful challenges, reflecting on their achievements, and seeing the real impact of their actions, they grow confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging. It sparks curiosity, fuels passion, and builds lifelong skills; helping every child feel capable, proud, and ready to face the world with courage and purpose.

  • Absolutely! Your child’s new school may already be part of our network. If not, why not Shout Out Loud and Make Some Waves, share what you know and encourage them to get in touch. The spirit of Agents of Change can continue wherever children go, helping them keep learning, growing, and making a difference.

  • Teachers can bring Agents of Change into their classrooms, lead projects, and celebrate children’s achievements. Parents can support from home by encouraging challenges, sharing successes, and spreading the word. Everyone can join the growing network, exchange ideas, and help inspire children to take action, develop skills, and make a real difference.  Contact us to find out more.
