Making Waves with Creative Water Conservation Videos!

At St Lawrence School, our older pupils are showing us just how powerful young voices can be when it comes to making a real difference. Year 5 and 6 have been tackling a serious issue: water waste. But instead of just learning about it, they’ve taken action—and they’ve done it in the most creative way possible!

The pupils worked in teams to produce a series of videos that use animation, stop motion, green screen, and acting to share their water-saving message. Each video is packed with creativity, energy, and clear, practical ideas about how schools, businesses, and communities can reduce water waste.

This project wasn’t just about making videos—it was about thinking like change-makers. The children researched, planned, and collaborated at every stage, developing real skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and communication.

These talented pupils aren’t keeping their work to themselves. They are sending their videos out to big corporations, hoping that leaders in business will watch, listen, and take action. Their mission? To inspire companies to help spread the message even further, turning local action into global impact.

Our pupils believe that everyone has the power to make a difference, and they are determined to make sure their message is heard far and wide. Evidence shows that water waste is a huge problem worldwide, and our pupils want to make change before it’s too late.

This project is a brilliant example of what it means to be an Agent of Change: curious, investigative, and determined to use your voice to make a difference. By creating these videos, Year 5 and 6 are showing that even young people can influence communities, inspire others, and help protect our future.

We couldn’t be prouder of these pupils and their creativity, passion, and dedication. Their videos aren’t just fun and engaging—they are a call to action for everyone to save water, save money, and protect our planet.

💧 Watch, share, and be inspired—our pupils are making their message LOUD and CLEAR!
