Making a Huge Splash with Their Water-Saving Song!
At St Lawrence School, even our youngest pupils are proving that no one is too small to make a big difference! Our EYFS and Key Stage 1 children have been learning all about water conservation too and why it’s so important to protect this precious resource.
Instead of just talking about water-saving ideas, our youngest pupils decided to turn their learning into music! Using the catchy tune of the popular K-pop song Golden, they wrote their own water-saving lyrics, sharing simple actions everyone can take to reduce waste.
From turning off taps to having shorter showers, their song is fun, educational, and full of personality—perfect for teaching others about water conservation in a way that sticks.
Once the lyrics were ready, the children worked with staff to create an amazing music video. Full of smiles, dancing, and performance, the video captures the energy and enthusiasm of our youngest pupils while spreading an important environmental message. Their music video isn’t just entertaining—it’s a call to action. These pupils are determined that everyone should understand how vital water is and why we must all take steps to save it.
Through this project, EYFS and KS1 children have shown that being an Agent of Change isn’t about age—it’s about passion, creativity, and the desire to make a difference.
Their music video is already inspiring others at school, and their message is simple but powerful: save water, protect the planet, and make your voice heard!
💧 Watch, sing along, and help our youngest pupils make some waves!
