Taking the Stage at the Healthy Schools Festival
This week was a truly special moment for our young Agents of Change as pupils from St Lawrence Primary travelled to the Brentwood Centre to take part in the Healthy Schools Festival. With pupils and staff from 40 Essex schools attending, it was the perfect opportunity to share the story of Agents of Change and inspire others to take action in their own schools.
As the founding school of the initiative, St Lawrence pupils were incredibly proud to SHOUT OUT LOUD about everything Agents of Change stands for. Throughout the day, the children spoke confidently and passionately with both other pupils and adults, sharing the impact the initiative has had in their school and community.
The pupils led a range of engaging activities based on three of the Agents of Change poster squares. They welcomed visitors to their stand, explained the ideas behind the initiative and encouraged others to get involved. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and the feedback we received from schools and staff was simply awesome. Watching the children lead conversations, answer questions and inspire others showed just how powerful pupil voice can be.
We could not be prouder of how brilliantly they represented their school and the Agents of Change community.
And the celebrations didn’t stop there. During the Healthy Schools 2026 Awards Ceremony, St Lawrence Primary was honoured with two awards. The school received a Certificate of Achievement for PSHE and Pupil Voice, as well as a Best Practice Award for Pupil Voice, recognising the incredible projects pupils have led through the Agents of Change initiative.
Seeing the children’s hard work, creativity and leadership celebrated in this way was a truly proud moment. It was a reminder that when young people are given the opportunity to lead, their ideas can create meaningful and lasting change.
What a fantastic day for our Agents of Change — sharing their story, inspiring others and being recognised for the powerful difference they are making. The future is bright, and these young change makers are leading the way.
